    K-LOVE Pledge Drive is underway!

    Give Now

  • Thursday, April 06, 2017

For months we've been blogging emails to the K-LOVE Morning show from members of our radio family but never one like this...

    Dear Amy,

Do I have to have a church to have faith?
I consider myself a Christian. I was raised in the church, gave my life to Jesus as a child, was baptized and re-dedicated my life in my twenties. But in truth, I haven't regularly attended a church in five years. Like others I know, I had a few bad experiences with different churches and just quit searching.
I have a circle of Christian friends that get together regularly, I study my Bible and I truly believe my faith has grown over these last years.
Members of my family say I'm living a lie by not attending church regularly, but I feel my relationship with The Lord is far better now than it has ever been.
    What do you think?

    Dear Amy,

I don't know whether to be heart-broken, outraged or both. My name is Kim and we are expecting our first baby in April.

Recently while having lunch with my BFF Heather (also expecting her first) she told me that she and her husband were having a difficult time settling on a name for their daughter.

I told her we found my family tree in an old family Bible and decided to call our baby Hazel after my mother's great grand-mother.

Well last week, Heather went into labor and guess what she's named her daughter?!?

    That's right, HAZEL.

Amy I was robbed. I feel like she stole my baby's identity and it's breaking my heart. We are most likely going to have to choose a new name for MY Hazel.

I know that Jesus says I should forgive but I just can't. Right now I can say I never want to see or speak to Heather ever again.

My other friends say it's no big deal and that I should consider it an honor that she chose that name. Am I wrong to be this angry and upset. What would you do?
