It seems like the older a smartphone is, the more often the battery needs to be re-charged. Once it's charged, it doesn't hold it very long.

I think the same can be true with our spiritual lives. When we first come to know Jesus, we are all about spending time with Him. We're praying more and reading more and sharing more. But as time goes on we can easily fall into complacency.

We are reminded in Romans 12:2  "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

That's an ongoing thing. A little time with God and allowing Him to do some mind and heart work within us can re-charge our spiritual battery!
